Arrived just as expected! Love the look and feel of this coat.The zipper I disliked a lotAfter having this coat for nearly a year, I can report that I love it. It is extremely comfortable and very warm. My only complain is that the zipper is on the cheap side and the snaps on the hood are very cheap! The hood becomes detached a lot. Overall, I am pleased with the coat and feel like I got it for a steal!I wanted to update my Northface that I’ve had for many many years. It truly served me well and is still in working condition but is starting to show signs of wear. I am from the Midwest and am currently living elsewhere, but that Midwest foundation allows me to understand the importance of a good sturdy and warm coat.I purchased the small last year and returned it because it seemed too small around the midsection. This year I got the medium and it looks shapeless on me. I’m 5’3 and about 120. I wore a sweater under the small and this year I wore a sweatshirt under the medium.Also, this coat seems lighter than the old version. I guess that could be an indication of technological advancements and not less warmth. They are the same down fill. The zipper on the older coat is metal and this one is plastic. I’m a little disappointed in that but maybe that too makes it lighter and doesn’t mean it won’t last as long.So now I’m contemplating ordering it again in a small. Or keeping what I have and getting over it. It’s a coat and it’ll (hopefully) keep me warm. Or maybe I’ll look for another coat.Love Northface, just need to process this.I really like this jacket. The length is great, the fit is great, and the weight is perfect. The only thing that I’m unhappy with it the CONSTANT shedding of feathers. I’m only about a week or two in with this coat and the massive amount of feather that come out all day everyday is really irritating. I wouldn’t have thought this would be a problem with a Northface product, but I stand corrected. I did read through the reviews before I bought the coat and thought...well maybe the feathers coming out isn’t so bad. I was wrong. It’s crazy how many come out. I’ve gotten them in my mouth, in my car, my office, and on my clothes. I’m so annoyed. When you spend $170 or whatever the price is, you don’t expect to have this issue, but here I am.I love the 'less puffy' design of this 2015 model. Unlike most coats I've ever had, I can put it over thick sweaters, blazers and fleeces without having it look annoyingly bulky. I rated it 'Fits as expected,' but that's only because I heeded other reviews and ordered in the larger of the two sizes I'm always between in coats and jackets (medium). On me this means there is more room than ideal in the lower body, since I have small hips and rear, but I needed the space for my medium rib cage and shoulders. It all results in a somewhat loose but not unflattering fit.I ordered it in black, and I'm glad the chest and shoulder logos are also black. I think that makes the coat more style-neutral and versatile. (Maybe that's also what the darkened 'O' of the logo on the inside label means, which someone was worried about. Or maybe that's done to labels of unofficially sourced items. Just guesses, but I don't doubt the authenticity of the one I bought from a highly-rated Prime-fulfillment seller).It does feel very lightweight, and I'm in the windy city, but I'm guessing it will be plenty warm enough for me as long as I layer under it on colder days. The construction and materials seem high-quality, and as of now I see no feather leakage at all. I do wish the hood had some kind of overhang to serve as a rain and snow shield. I have a smallish head and fine hair, and still the hood stops at my hairline and can't be positioned to block my face from above at all.Haven't worn it out yet but I think I'm going to be very happy with it.Great coat but runs SMALL.Love the length of this coat I ordered a size small. I like the older model of this jacket with the rounded bottom at the back. Nice light weight decently warm. No draw string inside to cinch the waist like the newer model. The colour I have is Urban Navy….really just navy with a shine or a bit of an iridescent look to it. A little disappointed the colour doesn’t really look like the picture but still great….kept it anyway.I ordered this coat last week and took a chance that I would be a size M as the previous reviews didn't mention too much on how the sizes are. I'm a size 12-14 and the M was a great fit - should that help with anyone else wanting to place an order. I've lost a few feathers but i'm putting that down to teething!Good quality warm coat. Feather down stuffing comes out a bit but this is worth it for the extra heat.Good customer service and nothing was too much trouble. I already have this coat and my best friend has admired it for a long time so I thought I’d treat her, nice product that will last and last ?Bought for my daughter - she loves it. It was on offer which made it more affordable for me!Fast delivery and a great jacket. Very happy with the product.
